Terms & Privacy

Effective June 18, 2026. We may update these terms; the current version always lives here.

Entity: Greatest Game LLC, a Missouri limited liability company, Missouri Filing ID LC014703641 (“Greatest Game,” “GG Co.,” “we,” “us”).

Contact: info@getgg.co.

Scope: This document governs use of greatestgame.co and its membership surfaces — the wiki (“SatireVeritas — The Wiki”), The Hanged Man, and other member products operated by Greatest Game LLC. Our retail merchandise store at getgg.co is a separate property with its own Terms of Sale.

Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating a membership or using greatestgame.co, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service. You must be at least 18 years old to create a membership or use the service.

2. The Membership

A single membership unlocks the full version of every member surface described in your selected plan. Anyone may use the free, de-identified previews without an account; membership reveals the full content. We may introduce additional membership tiers or product surfaces in the future, the access levels of which will be described on our pricing page at the time they are offered.

3. Plans, billing & auto-renewal

  • Plans: Monthly ($15/month) · Annual ($120/year) · Lifetime ($599, one-time).
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your card details.
  • Auto-renewal. Monthly and Annual plans renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. Lifetime is a single payment with no renewal.
  • Cancel anytime from your account (“Manage billing” → the Stripe customer portal). Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues through the end of the paid period.
  • Renewal reminders and price changes. We will provide at least thirty (30) days’ advance email notice before any price change takes effect on auto-renewal. For Annual plans, you will receive a renewal reminder before each annual charge as required by applicable law. We rely on Stripe’s standard auto-renewal notification tooling for delivery of these notices.

4. Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law; cancel to prevent future charges.

5. Founder / donor access

Access granted off-platform to donors and founders (via a redemption link) is governed by these Terms. The duration of each grant is set at the time of grant and may be a fixed term or lifetime. Founder and donor grants survive transfer of ownership of Greatest Game LLC to the extent permitted by then-applicable law.

6. Your account & public handle

  • You authenticate via a session cookie; keep your device secure.
  • The public handle you choose is displayed publicly and is searchable by other members. You can change your handle at any time from your account settings.
  • Do not use your real name and do not impersonate any real person, public figure, or organization. This is a satire-and-commentary platform that operates on the explicit anonymizing principle that members participate behind chosen handles. Handles that contain a real person’s name (your own or another’s), that impersonate any identifiable person or entity, or that are abusive, harassing, threatening, or otherwise inconsistent with the service will be removed at our discretion.

7. Acceptable use

Don’t: scrape or bulk-extract member content; share, resell, transfer, or otherwise distribute access; circumvent or attempt to circumvent the membership gate; or use the service unlawfully. Membership is for your personal use.

Snapshot integrity verification. Members are expressly permitted to verify the integrity of any published wiki snapshot using its cryptographic signature (Ed25519 verifier provided in-product). Such verification does not constitute scraping or bulk extraction and is encouraged.

8. Intellectual property

The compilation, the knowledge-base structure, the network and graph presentation, the source-tier and scoring framework, and the original editorial and illustrative works on the service are owned by Greatest Game LLC. Underlying facts are drawn from publicly available sources, which are cited within the content.

All trademarks, service marks, trade dress, and logos used on or in connection with the service — including the marks SATIREVERITAS, GG Co. (and design), and the related visual identity — are owned by Greatest Game LLC or its licensors. No license is granted to use these marks except as expressly authorized in writing.

Membership grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and view the content for personal, non-commercial use during your active membership period. All other rights are reserved.

9. Content nature — satire, opinion & commentary

greatestgame.co publishes satire, commentary, opinion, and analysis about public figures, institutions, and matters of public interest, under the editorial thesis “SatireVeritas” (“satire is truth”). All content on the service — including any flags, labels, categorizations, network associations, characterizations, scores, tier assignments, and groupings — constitutes the authors’ protected expression: opinion, criticism, satirical commentary, and editorial analysis, synthesized from and citing publicly available sources.

The content is not a statement of verified fact about any person or entity, and should not be relied upon as a factual assertion, professional advice, or a finding of any kind. The source-tier and scoring framework reflects the authors’ editorial judgment about the strength and nature of public-record sourcing for a given subject or claim. It does not constitute adjudication, conviction, or finding against any subject. Labels and categories are editorial and satirical devices.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

THE SERVICE AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GREATEST GAME LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

THE TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY OF GREATEST GAME LLC ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

If any provision of this Section is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this document will be updated when we do. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email to active members or by prominent notice on the service). Continued use after the effective date of an update means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Forum. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service that is not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Missouri, and you and Greatest Game LLC consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Class-action waiver. You and Greatest Game LLC agree that any dispute will be brought in your or our individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, or representative proceeding. No court may consolidate the claims of more than one person or preside over any form of representative or class proceeding.

Carve-outs. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may bring an individual action in small-claims court for any qualifying claim, and either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction located in the State of Missouri to protect intellectual property rights or to enforce confidentiality obligations.

Severability. If the class-action waiver is held unenforceable as to any particular claim, that claim alone is severed and may proceed in court; the remainder of this Section continues to apply.

Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

We deliberately collect the minimum information necessary to operate a membership service.

  • An opaque member_id — a randomly generated identifier we assign to your account. It is not derived from your name, email, or payment information.
  • Your chosen public handle — a display name that you select and that is shown publicly to other members. You needn’t and shouldn’t use a real name.
  • Essential session cookies — required for login and to maintain your authenticated state.
  • Minimal operational logs — IP address (typically partial), user-agent string, and timestamps of session events, retained briefly for security, rate-limiting, and abuse prevention.

We do not directly collect, store, or have access to your name, email address, postal address, phone number, or payment-card details. Those are handled by Stripe (see Section 2).

Even minimal identifiers like member_id and IP address may, under certain privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, and others), be considered “personal information” or “personal data” when combined with other data we receive. We treat them as such and apply the protections in this Policy accordingly.

2. Payment data — handled by Stripe

All payment and billing information (card number, billing email, billing address, country) is collected, processed, and stored by Stripe, Inc., our payment processor, under Stripe’s privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy. We receive from Stripe only:

  • An opaque Stripe customer reference (linked to your member_id);
  • Your current subscription status (active, cancelled, past-due, etc.); and
  • Coarse billing-event signals (e.g., a renewal succeeded; a payment failed).

We do not receive your card number, card details, billing email, or billing address from Stripe.

3. How we use data

We use the limited data we hold to: (a) provide and secure your membership; (b) authenticate you to the service; (c) process billing through Stripe; (d) prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and (e) communicate operational matters about your account (via Stripe’s email infrastructure when applicable).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use advertising trackers.

4. Service providers

The following service providers process data on our behalf:

  • Stripe, Inc. — payments, billing, subscription management, and transactional email related to billing.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting, content delivery, and security.

If we add additional service providers (analytics, transactional email, customer support tooling, etc.), we will update this list and the Effective Date.

5. Cookies

We use essential session cookies only strictly to authenticate you and maintain your membership session. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

6. Your rights

We hold limited data on you, which makes most privacy requests straightforward.

For payment and billing data. Because Stripe holds the payment data, requests regarding your card, billing email, or billing address should be directed to Stripe via your Stripe customer portal or per their privacy policy. We will assist with coordination where helpful.

7. Data retention

We retain your member_id and handle for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account, we retain the minimum data required to (a) complete pending transactions and (b) satisfy our legal, tax, and accounting obligations — typically no longer than seven (7) years for tax-related records. Operational logs are retained for a short rolling window (typically 30–90 days) for security purposes.

8. Children

You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. The service is intended for adults and is not directed to minors; we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a person under 18, we will delete it.

9. International data transfers

If you access the service from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the service, you consent to this transfer. We rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers as required by applicable law.

10. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we hold, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls on our systems. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we will act in good faith to maintain reasonable protections.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The Effective Date at the top of this document will be updated when we do. For material changes affecting your rights, we will provide reasonable notice.
